After 14 years in the wedding industry, I’ve learned that passion, perseverance and creativity can turn dreams into reality. Years ago, I set a goal: being married and experiencing weddings every week I wanted to create something truly special for couples on one of their most important days of their lives. With countless couples, family and friends seeking my advice along their own journey, it was time to turn that knowledge into something tangible.
As a Wedding DJ & MC, with a wealth of experience gained from countless weddings, collaborating with amazing vendors and suppliers, I’ve seen first hand what works and what doesn’t. The story really takes off when a few years ago we gifted a wedding planner we saw online to a good friend of ours. When it arrived and she showed us the book, I felt an immense amount of overwhelm, stress and anxiety and thought 'there has to be a better way than this!'. I wanted to create something that is aesthetically pleasing, flows in a seamless manner and where you can keep everything in one place and feel organised. After all, wedding planning should be fun and not stressful!
Fast forward to today! After 2 years of hard work, endless lists of brainstorming/designing, ups and downs and moments where I thought I couldn’t do it anymore, with the help of my incredible wife we launched By Mateo.
The name ‘Mateo’ holds a special meaning for us; it comes from our beautiful son, a true gift of God who embodies determination, hope, and love - all values that resonate deeply with weddings and the magical journey of marriage.
Our long awaited first product is a hand-crafted, luxury A4 Wedding Planner organiser which is an all in one guide for a smooth and enjoyable wedding planning experience. This isn’t just a planner; it’s a culmination of our experiences, insights and expertise from premium wedding vendors to help bring your vision to life in an organised and stress free manner.
We’ve poured our hearts into creating a planner that combines our creative vision and input, expert advice and practical solutions to make your wedding dreams a reality - every step and every category along the way. We’re excited to share this journey with you all and what’s in store.
